(EN)Hydrogen fluoride can be efficiently removed from a mixture thereof with dichloromethane, chlorofluoromethane and/or difluoromethane either by distilling the mixture to remove a binary azeotropic mixture composed of hydrogen fluoride and dichloromethane, one composed of hydrogen fluoride and chlorofluoromethane and one composed of hydrogen fluoride and difluoromethane, or by separating the mixture into an upper liquid phase rich in hydrogen fluoride and a lower liquid phase poor in hydrogen fluoride and distilling the respective phases in a similar manner.
