(EN)A cooled supporting roller intended particularly for use in the continuous casting of steel shapes includes a plurality of axially extending coolant channels (1, 24) which are divided uniformly around the periphery of the roller. All channels are connected in series between a coolant inlet (33) and a coolant outlet (40). The channels are connected in series such that during its passage through the channels between the inlet and the outlet, the coolant will pass at least twice around the periphery of the support roller (32). This results in uniform heating of the roller and also in uniform cooling of the steel shape.
(FR)L'invention concerne un rouleau porteur refroidi particulièrement destiné à être utilisé dans le moulage d'acier profilé, qui se compose d'une pluralité de canaux de refroidissement (1, 24) qui sont répartis régulièrement sur la périférie du rouleau. Tous les canaux sont raccordés en série entre une admission (33) et une sortie (33) de liquide de refroidissement, de façon que lors de son passage dans les canaux, entre lesdites admission et sortie, le liquide de refroidissement passe au moins deux fois autour du rouleau porteur (32).
