Title (EN) METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR RESTORING IMPAIRED CELLULAR IMMUNE FUNCTION
(FR) PROCEDES ET COMPOSITIONS SERVANT A RESTITUER UNE FONCTION CELLULAIRE IMMUNE DETERIOREE
Abstract: front page image
(EN)The effect of HIV components on lymphocytes, as exemplified by peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) in retarding their proliferation can be reversed by inhibiting the PKA/cAMP pathway. By using protocols which inhibit this pathway, the ability of lymphocytes to proliferate can be restored. The restoration of this pathway is useful in reversing the effects of HIV infection.
