Abstract
(EN)
A laser catheter (10) for irradiation of human myocardial tissue containing a movable feedback mechanism (26) for monitoring the damage created by laser irradiation, and which is usable with standard catheters designed for angiography and angioplasty. Means for sensing distal temperature are provided in the form of a plurality of movable thermocouples (52, 54), along with the ability to cool the fiber optic and distal tip with a flushing solution. Flushing of the area adjacent to the tip (24) is provided for by a fluid which travels the length of the laser catheter.

Cathéter à laser (10) utilisé pour l'irradiation de tissus du myocarde humain et contenant un mécanisme de réaction mobile (26) pour surveiller les lésions provoquées par l'irradiation, et pouvant être utilisé avec des cathéters standard conçus pour l'angiographie et l'angioplastie. Des moyens de détection de la température distale sont prévus sous la forme d'une multiplicité de thermocouples mobiles (52, 54), ainsi que des éléments permettant de refroidir les fibres optiques et l'extrémité distale avec une solution de rinçage. Le rinçage de la zone proche de l'extrémité (24) est effectué par un fluide qui se déplace sur toute la longueur du cathéter à laser.
