An austenite cast steel comprises carbon, manganese, nitrogen, chromium, vanadium, iron and, additionally, cerium and calcium at the following ratio of said components in per cent by weight: carbon 0.03-0.10; manganese 15.00-30.00; nitrogen 0.05-0.40; chromium 5.00-15.00; vanadium 0.10-1.50; cerium 0.005-0.050; calcium 0.001-0.010; iron the balance. The proposed steel has a high machinability.

Un acier austénique comprend du carbone, du manganèse, de l'azote, du chrome, du vanadium, du fer et en plus du cérium ainsi que du calcium, selon le rapport des constituants suivants exprimé en pourcentage en poids: carbone 0,03 à 0,10; manganèse 15,00 à 30,00; azote 0,05 à 0,40; chrome 5,00 à 15,00; vanadium 0,10 à 1,50; cérium 0,005 à 0,050; calcium 0,001 à 0,010; fer le reste. L'acier de l'invention présente une usinabilité élevée.
