Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed herein is an endoscopic extraction device which retains its operative usefulness for longer periods of time, and therefore needs to be replaced less frequently. This extended instrument life is accomplished through the use of a composite wire construction, which includes an inner monofilament wire (11) of nitinol material surrounded by six stranded stainless steel wires (12a-f). A wire construction in which a nitinol wire (21) is surrounded by five stranded stainless steel wires (22a-e) is also disclosed. After constructing a wire basket in the normal manner using this material, heat is applied to the formed basket in its pre-formed shape to set the memory characteristics of the inner nitinol core.
(FR) Dispositif d'extraction endoscopique qui conserve son utilité fonctionnelle pendant une durée accrue, et donc doit être remplacé moins fréquemment. Cette durée de vie prolongée de l'instrument est obtenue grâce à l'emploi d'une structure filaire métallique composite qui comporte un fil métallique simple intérieur (11) de nitinol entouré de six fils d'acier inoxydable toronnés (12a-f). Une structure filaire dans laquelle un fil de nitinol (21) est entouré de cinq fils d'acier inoxydable toronnés (22a-e) est également décrite. Aprés réalisation d'une corbeille en fils métalliques de la manière usuelle à l'aide de ce matériau, on applique de la chaleur à la corbeille sous sa forme préformée afin de fixer les caractéristiques de mémoire de l'âme en nitinol.
