Um bei einem Zweirohr-Stoßdämpfer für Kraftfahrzeuge, der mit einem Dämpferkolben sowie einem elektromagnetisch betätigbaren unidirektionalen Dämpferventil versehen ist, eine aus Fahrkomfortsgründen gewünschte 'weiche' Kennlinie bzw. eine spezielle Kennlinie aus einem Feld möglicher Kennlinien bei gleichzeitigem Eliminieren der Anfälligkeit des Stoßdämpfers gegen Fehler der elektromagnetischen Ansteuerung einzustellen wird erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß das Dämpferventil (10) als ein einstufiges bzw. zweistufiges Schieberventil ausgebildet ist, wobei die Schieberposition in Abhängigkeit von der über dem Dämpferventil (10) abfallenden hydraulischen Druckdifferenz, dem durch das Dämpferventil (10) fließenden Volumenstrom sowie dem Ansteuerstrom der elektromagnetischen Betätigung (45, 46, 47, 49, 50) bestimmt wird.

In order to obtain a 'soft' characteristic required for ride comfort reasons or a special characteristic from a range of possible ones while at the same time rendering the shock absorber insensitive to faults in the electromagnetic control system in a twin-tube shock absorber for motor vehicles fitted with a damper piston and an electromagnetically actuatable one-way damper valve, the invention proposes that the damper valve (10) takes the form of a single or two-stage slide valve, the position of the slide being determined dependently upon the hydraulic pressure difference dropping above the damper valve (10), the volume flowing through the damper valve (10) and the control current of the electromagnetic actuator (45, 46, 47, 49, 50).

Dans un amortisseur bitube pour véhicules automobiles, lequel est muni d'un piston d'amortissement, ainsi que d'une soupape d'amortissement unidirectionnelle à commande électromagnétique, pour régler soit une courbe caractéristique 'douce' souhaitée pour des raisons de confort de conduite, soit une courbe caractéristique spéciale sélectionnée dans une panoplie de courbes caractéristiques possibles, tout en éliminant la sensibilité de l'amortisseur aux défauts du pilotage électromagnétique, il est prévu, selon l'invention, de concevoir la soupape d'amortissement (10) comme soupape à tiroir à un ou deux étages, la position du tiroir étant déterminée en fonction de la différence de pression hydraulique diminuant au-dessus de la soupape d'amortissement (10), du débit volumétrique traversant la soupape d'amortissement (10), ainsi que du courant d'attaque de l'actionnement électromagnétique (45, 46, 47, 49, 50).
