The invention relates to an apparatus for separating finer and coarser material fractions of bulk material from each other, especially for separating sawdust from wood chips, the apparatus comprising a plurality of successive rollers (2) rotating about parallel axes of rotation, the upper surfaces of the rollers providing a path for the material to be screened; at least one drive means for rotating the rollers (2); and a means for feeding the material to be screened to the infeed end of said path. There are radial and essentially axial grooves (5, 6) on the surface of the rollers (2), the grooves forming teeth (7) onto the surface of the rollers (2), and the teeth (7) of each roller (2) interdigitate with the radial grooves (5) of the adjacent roller (2), whereby the teeth (7) and radial grooves (5) form slots (8) between them for the particles of the material to be screened. With this construction it is possible to prevent the particles that are bigger than the grain size desired from passing through the screen.

L'invention se rapporte à un appareil servant à séparer des fractions grossières et des fractions fines d'un matériau en vrac, en particulier de la sciure à partir de copeaux de bois, l'appareil comprenant une multiplicité de rouleaux successifs (2) tournant autour d'axes de rotation parallèles, les surfaces supérieures des rouleaux produisant une trajectoire pour le matériau devant être tamisé; au moins un élément d'entraînement mettant en rotation les rouleaux (2); et un élément servant à charger le matériau devant être tamisé dans l'extrémité d'alimentation de ladite trajectoire. Des rainures radiales et généralement axiales (5, 6) sont pratiquée sur la surface des rouleaux (2), les rainures formant des dents (7) sur la surface des rouleaux (2), et les dents (7) de chaque rouleau (2) s'entrecroisent avec les rainures radiales (5) du rouleau adjacent (2), de sorte que les dents (7) et les rainures radiales (5) forment des fentes (8) destinées aux particules du matériau devant être tamisé. Cette structure permet d'empêcher que des particules de dimensions supérieures à la dimension granulométrique désirée ne passent à travers le tamis.
