Abstract
(EN)
A device for ultrasonic imaging, and methods for the use and manufacture thereof, particularly of small coronary vessels. The device comprises an elongate member (26) with a distal end (28) that can be positioned within a small vessel of a patient's body while a proximal end (32) is located outside the body, a transducer located at a distal end of the elongate member and operable to scan the distal coronary vessels with ultrasonic pulses, and a signal processor (43) connected to a proximal end of the elongate member and to the transducer for generating and receiving pulses to and from the transducer. A motor (36) may also be connected to the proximal end of the elongate member for rotating the transducer. Control unit (38) operates the motor and the signal processor.

Dispositif d'imagerie ultrasonique notamment de petits vaisseaux coronaires, et ses procédés d'utilisation et de production. Le dispositif comprend un élément allongé (26) présentant une extrémité distale (28) que l'on peut positionner à l'intérieur d'un petit vaisseau du corps d'un patient, tandis qu'une extrémité proximale (32) est située à l'extérieur du corps, un transducteur situé au niveau d'une extrémité distale de l'élément allongé et destiné à analyser par balayage les vaisseaux coronaires distaux au moyen d'impulsions ultrasoniques, ainsi qu'un processeur de signaux (43) relié à une extrémité proximale de l'élément allongé ainsi qu'au transducteur pour générer et recevoir des impulsions vers le transducteur et inversement. On peut également connecter un moteur (36) à l'extrémité proximale de l'élément allongé afin de mettre le transducteur en rotation. Une unité de commande (38) fait fonctionner le moteur ainsi que le processeur de signaux.
