Title (EN) FORMULATION FOR TREATING SILAGE
(FR) FORMULATION DESTINEE AU TRAITEMENT DE RECOLTES ENSILEES
Abstract: front page image
(EN)A formulation that can be used to stabilise silage from cereal and other crops, and to enhance its nutritive value and digestibility in a ruminant, is of: enzymes comprising $g(b)-1,4-xylanase and $g(b)-1,3-xylosidase, but substantially free of $g(b)-1,4-glucanase and $g(b)-1,4-cellobiohydrolase; and one or more microorganisms selected for their ability to convert pentosans to lactic acid, without degrading protein, at pH 4-6.5.
