Abstract:
(EN) Described is a system and method of communicating between first and second nodes connected by a serial link wherein the data is transmitted between the nodes in the form of packets made up of multiple bit frames. Each packet that is correctly received by the second node is acknowledged by means of a pair of multibit frames. These frames may be interleaved among the frames making up any outgoing data packet that is being transmitted by the second node. The technique employed provides unambiguous acknowledgment of each data packet and if a data packet is received incorrectly, the packet is available in a buffer in the first node for resending.
(FR) On décrit un système et un procédé de communication entre un premier et second n÷uds connectés par une liaison en série, selon lesquels les données sont transmises entre les n÷uds sous forme de paquets composés de blocs de bits. Le second n÷ud accuse réception de chaque paquet qu'il a correctement reçu par l'intermédiaire d'une paire de blocs de multibits. Ces blocs peuvent être imbriqués dans les blocs composant tout paquet de données sortant qui est en train d'être transmis par le second n÷ud. La technique utilisée permet d'accuser réception de chaque paquet de données sans ambiguïté, et, si un paquet de données a été incorrectement reçu, le paquet est disponible dans un tampon dans le premier n÷ud pour être réexpédié.
