Abstract:
(EN) The present invention is directed to a lens with an optical element (20) formed of a radiant energy transmitting material with a graded index of refraction having a predetermined profile which extends radially from a longitudinal axis (23) of the lens (20). A first surface (24) and an opposing second surface (26) of the optical element (20) extend radially outwards from the longitudinal axis (23) of the lens (20), and one of the first and second surfaces (24, 26) is aspherical. This optical element (20) can be combined coaxially with a second optical element to form a doublet lens. The second optical element is formed of a radiant energy transmitting material with or without a graded index, and when the graded index is included the second element has a gradient profile which is an inverse of the gradient profile of the first optical element (20). The second element has a first predetermined shaped surface arranged for rays of radiant energy from a remote source to be incident thereon, and an opposing second predetermined shaped surface. Each of the first and second surfaces extend radially outwards from a longitudinal axis of the lens.
(FR) L'invention concerne une lentille comportant un élément optique (20) en matière transmettant l'énergie de rayonnement et présentant un gradient d'indice de réfraction ayant un profil prédéterminé s'étendant radialement à partir d'un axe longitudinal (23) de la lentille (20). Une première surface (24) et une seconde surface opposées (26) de l'élément optique (20) s'étendent radialement à l'extérieur de l'axe longitudinal (23) de la lentille (20), et une des surfaces (24, 26) est asphérique. Cet élément optique (20) peut être combiné axialement à un second élément optique afin de former une double lentille. Le second élément optique se compose d'une matière transmettant l'énergie de rayonnement avec ou sans gradient d'indice, et lorsque le gradient d'indice est inclus, le second élément présente un profil de gradient qui est l'inverse du profil de gradient du premier élément optique (20). Le second élément présente une première surface profilée prédéterminée agencée pour que les rayons d'énergie de rayonnement provenant d'une source éloignée soit incidents sur ladite surface, ainsi qu'une seconde surface opposée profilée prédéterminée. Chacune des première et seconde surface s'étend radialement à l'extérieur d'un axe longitudinal de la lentille.
