Abstract:
(EN) A high load capacity journal foil bearing (16) and more particularly undersprings (22) therefor. The journal foil bearing (16) preferably includes a number of individual pads or foils (20) which are conventionally mounted to a journal and have a pad face proximate a rotating shaft (12). The undersprings (22) each include a number of curvilinear support beams (30) or corrugations which are varied in width and pitch to optimize the spring force supporting the overlying foil (20). The underspring (22) is configured to have wider beams at their leading edge (44) and progressively narrower beams for approximately the first one half of the circumferential length.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un palier de tourillon à feuille (16) pouvant supporter une charge importante, et concerne plus particulièrement des ressorts sous-jacents (22) associés. Le palier de trourillon à feuille (16) comprend de préférence plusieurs coussins ou feuilles séparés (20) qui sont montés de manière classique sur un tourillon et dont une face de coussin se trouve à côté d'un arbre rotatif (12). Les ressorts sous-jacents (22) comportent chacun plusieurs profilés de support curvilignes (30) ou des stries dont la largeur et l'écartement sont variables pour optimiser la force du ressort supportant la feuille de recouvrement (20). Le ressort sous-jacent (22) est configuré de manière à comporter des profilés plus larges au niveau de leurs bords d'attaque (44) et des profilés qui sont de plus en plus étroits sur environ la première moitié de la longueur de la circonférence.
