Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a combustion engine combination having a plurality of power units, of which each is made up of its independent crankshaft and one or more actuating cylinders driving it, and of mechanisms for connecting these power units to rotate a power output shaft or power output shafts. The engine comprises at minimum two (1, 2) power units of the said type, the first (1) having a greater cylinder (S1) diameter (D1) and a smaller number (n1) of cylinders than has the second power unit (2), which thus has a smaller cylinder (S2) diameter (D2) and larger number (n2) of cylinders than has the first power unit (1).
(FR) L'invention se rapporte à un moteur à combustion interne combiné possédant une pluralité d'unités motrices, dont chacune est constituée par un vilebrequin indépendant et un ou plusieurs cylindres moteurs actionnant ledit vilebrequin, ainsi que des mécanismes servant à relier ces unités motrices pour faire tourner un ou plusieurs arbres moteurs. Le moteur comprend au moins deux (1, 2) unités motrices dudit type, la première (1) possédant un diamètre (D1) de cylindre (S1) plus important et un plus petit nombre (n1) de cylindres que la deuxième unité motrice (2), qui de ce fait, possède un diamètre (D2) de cylindre (S2) plus petit et un plus grand nombre (n2) de cylindres que la première unité motrice (1).
