Abstract:
(EN) An apparatus for use in guiding tubing of a polygonal, e.g. rectangular, cross-section comprises a pair of platform elements (12A, 12B) each of which is mounted to an arcuate member (10A, 10B), the arcuate members each being guided between mounting rollers (4, 5, 6, 7) in such a manner that the arcuate member (10) together with the platform element (12) is guided for orbital movement about a common axis. The two arcuate members (10A, 10B) are coupled to synchronised driving mechanisms, whereby, with the two platform elements (12A, 12B) in predetermined relative angular positions, the platforms can be caused to undergo orbital motion to guide corresponding movement of the polygonal tubing. The platform elements (12A, 12B) can also be moved rapidly into a common plane in order to allow translatory movement of the tubing in that plane between consecutive stages of orbital motion.
(FR) Appareil destiné au guidage de tuyaux à section polygonale, par exemple rectangulaire. L'appareil comporte une paire de plateaux (12A, 12B) dont chacun est monté sur un élément arqué (10A, 10B), les éléments arqués étant aptes à se déplacer entre des cylindres de montage (4, 5, 6, 7) de sorte que l'élément arqué (10), conjointement avec le plateau (12), soit guidé en mouvement orbital autour d'un axe commun. Les deux éléments arqués (10A, 10B) sont couplés à des dispositifs d'entraînement synchronisés de sorte que, lorsque les deux plateaux (12A, 12B) se trouvent dans des positions angulaires prédéterminées l'un par rapport à l'autre, lesdits plateaux puissent s'animer d'un mouvement orbital apte à guider le déplacement correspondant du tuyau polygonal. Lesdits plateaux (12A, 12B) peuvent également venir rapidement se rejoindre sur un même plan afin de permettre au tuyau de se déplacer en translation sur ce plan entre des étapes successives de mouvement orbital.
