Title (EN) TESTING FOR SPIROCHETAL NUCLEIC ACID SEQUENCES IN SAMPLES
(FR) DETECTION DE SEQUENCES D'ACIDE NUCLEIQUE DE SPIROCHETES DANS DES ECHANTILLONS
Abstract:
(EN) Ticks, or other samples, are tested for the presence or absence of Lyme disease spirochete infestation by subjecting the sample to a polymerase chain reaction amplification for the detection of Borrelia burgdorferi spirochete nucleic acid sequences. Spirochete-specific primers and probes are used to perform the test.
