Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed is a laminar thermal imaging medium, actuatable in response to intense image-forming radiation for production of a pair of images upon exposure of the medium and separation of the respective sheets, the medium including a polymeric hardenable adhesive layer which in its unhardened condition reduces the tendency for the laminar thermal imaging medium to delaminate on application of physical stresses to the medium, and which is hardenable to a durable base for one of said images. Also disclosed is a method of preparing a laminar imaging medium as aforedescribed wherein said medium after lamination of component elements thereof is cut into individual units and, thereafter, the hardenable adhesive layer of such units is hardened to a durable base for an image carried thereon.
(FR) L'invention concerne un support multicouche de formation d'image thermique, réagissant à un rayonnement intense de formation d'image et destiné à produire deux images lorsque le support a été exposé au rayonnement et que les feuilles correspondantes sont séparées. Ledit support comprend une couche adhésive polymérique durcissable qui, à l'état non durci, réduit la tendance qu'a ledit support multicouche de formation d'image thermique à se diviser lorsqu'une contrainte lui est appliquée, et qui se durcit pour constituer une base durable pour une desdites images. L'invention concerne également un procédé pour préparer un support multicouche de formation d'image tel que celui décrit ci-dessus, procédé selon lequel le support, une fois que ses éléments constitutifs ont été disposés en couches, est découpé en unités individuelles et ensuite, la couche adhésive durcissable desdites unités est durcie pour constituer une base durable pour une image portée par lesdites unités.
