Title (EN) TABLE TENNIS RACKET WITH MEMBRANOUS STRICKING SURFACE AND ADJUSTABLE CONTROL AND SPEED
(FR) RAQUETTE DE TENNIS DE TABLE A SURFACE DE REBOND MEMBRANAIRE, A RAPIDITE ET CONTROLE MODIFIABLE
Abstract:
(EN) Table tennis racket comprised of a plate (1) of conventional size whose edge may be thicker (3). The assembly is covered by an elastic membrane (7) which allows, by its thightening in a groove (4) on the contour of the plate, to obtain a variable tension surface and consequently a different rebound quality. By pulling the strip by means of a knurled (13) screw (11) system situated in the handle (2) of the racket, it is possible to adjust the tension of the membrane (7). When the ball rebounds, the membrane (7) is depressed till it touches the plate (1) or the foam layer (6) lining the plate, and expands elastically conferring the desired effect to the ball.
