Abstract:
(EN) A process for sterilizing heat-labile material using steam in an autoclave. In the first phase of the process, air in the autoclave is replaced by steam. This step also preheats the autoclave. In the second phase of the process, the material is sterilized in the presence of moisture. In the third phase of the process, steam is removed from the autoclave and the material is dried. The steam is supplied in such an overheated condition in the first phase that no condensation occurs in this phase. Using a process according to the present invention allows heat-labile materials to be sterilized without loss of mechanical properties.
(FR) Procédé de stérilisation par vapeur d'un matériau à instabilité thermique dans un autoclave. La première phase du procédé consiste à remplacer l'air se trouvant dans l'autoclave par de la vapeur. Cette étape permet également de préchauffer l'autoclave. Dans la deuxième phase du procédé, le matériau est stérilisé en présence d'humidité. Dans la troisième phase du procédé, la vapeur est évacuée de l'autoclave et le matériau est séché. La vapeur amenée dans l'autoclave lors de la première phase est tellement surchauffée qu'aucune condensation ne se produit. Grâce au procédé de la présente invention, il est possible de stériliser des matériaux à instabilité thermique sans que ceux-ci ne perdent de leurs propriétés mécaniques.
