Abstract:
(EN) A method of forming an interlocking spiral twist connection between two ductile wires (28, 29) where the method comprising the steps of providing relative rotation between the two members (201, 202) of a two member connector after positioning the wires (28, 29) in side by side relationship in cavity means in both of the members (201, 202), the cavity means having a configuration such that the wires (28, 29) can only be entered into the cavity means in side by side relationship when they are in a specific orientation relative to the cavity means, the relative rotation of the members causing each wire (28, 29) to be jammed against internal surfaces of its associated cavity and during the continuance of said relative rotation maintaining both a braking effect on said wires (28, 29) to control relative longitudinal movement therebetween and a converging force on said members (201, 202).
(FR) Procédé de formage d'une connexion en torsade spiralée entrelacée entre deux câbles ductiles (28, 29), le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à conférer une rotation relative entre les deux éléments (201, 202) d'un connecteur à deux éléments à prépositionnement des câbles (28, 29) côte à côte dans un moyen de cavité se trouvant dans les deux éléments (201, 202), le moyen de cavité présentant une configuration ne permettant au câble (28, 29) de pénétrer dans le moyen de cavité que côte à côte lorsqu'il se trouve dans une orientation spécifique par rapport audit moyen de cavité, la rotation relative des éléments provoquant le blocage de chaque câble (28, 29) contre les surfaces internes de sa cavité associée et, pendant qu'a lieu ladite rotation relative, maintenant à la fois un effet de freinage sur lesdits câbles (28, 29) afin de réguler le mouvement longitudinal relatif entre ceux-ci, et une force convergente sur lesdits éléments (201, 202).
