Abstract:
(EN) Four parallel spaced-apart substrates (12 through 15) are arranged in a stack to provide three gas-containing spaces (18 through 20) therebetween. Orthogonally disposed electrodes (e.g., 22, 31, 32, 43 through 45) and dielectric barrier ribs (e.g., 23 through 25, 34, 40 through 45) formed on each facing surface of the substrates define individually addressable cells within each gas-containing space. Each picture element comprises three vertically aligned cells (e.g., 46) each of which contains a gas that, when activated, emits red, green or blue light, respectively. The non-phosphor full-color plasma display device thus formed is characterized by high-resolution and useful memory margins at high frequencies.
(FR) Quatre substrats parallèles (12 à 15) espacés les uns des autres sont empilés pour former trois espaces renfermant du gaz (18 à 20). Trois électrodes disposées de manière orthogonale (par exemple, 22, 31, 32, 43 à 45) et des rebords de barrières diélectriques (par exemple, 23 à 25, 34, 40 à 45) formés sur chaque surface se faisant face des substrats, définissent ds éléments adressables individuellement dans chaque espace renfermant du gaz. Chaque élément d'image comporte trois éléments alignés vericalement (par exemple, 46) qui renferment chacun un gaz qui, lorsqu'on l'excite, émet respectivement de la lumière rouge, verte ou bleue. Le système d'affichage à plasma à couleurs pures non fluorescent ainsi réalisé se caractérise par sa haute résolution et sa marge de mémoire utile à des fréquences élevées.
