Abstract:
(EN) A process for the surface treatment of individual particles of a pulverulent material improves the surface properties thereof. The process includes a plasma-generating apparatus (1) for generating a plasma in a plasma generator while supplying an inert gas (a) at a high drift velocity into the generator to form a low temperature plasma flame (14) which is directed into a low pressure zone. Subsequently, the pulverulent material (d) is injected into the high velocity inert gas or into the base of the plasma flame to disintegrate any particle aggregate present in the material. The low temperature plasma acts on the surface of each individual particle to improve the properties thereof. The treated particles can then be recovered from the zone (f).
(FR) Un procédé de traitement en surface de particules individuelles d'une matière pulvérulente en améliore les propriétés de surface. Le procédé comprend un appareil (1) produisant du plasma destiné à produire un plasma dans un générateur de plasma, acheminant simultanément un gaz inerte (a) à une vitesse de dérive élevée dans le générateur afin de former une flamme de plasma (14) à basse température, laquelle est orientée dans une zone de basse pression. Ensuite, on injecte la matière pulvérulente (d) dans le gaz inerte très rapide ou dans la base de la flamme de plasma afin de désintégrer les éventuels agrégats de particules présents dans la matière. Le plasma à basse température agit sur la surface de chaque particule individuelle afin d'en améliorer les propriétés. On peut ensuite récupérer les particules traitées de la zone (f).
