Abstract:
(EN) Sol-gel processing techniques are used to produce alkali-free bioactive glass compositions based on SiO2, CaO and P2O5. By varying the SiO2 content, a range of hydroxyapatite production rates can be obtained; conversely, varying the time of exposure to actual or simulated in vivo solutions permits use of a range of allowable proportions of SiO2. The sol-gel derived compositions can be chosen to achieve target values for thermal expansion coefficient, elastic modulus and volume electrical resistivity.
(FR) Des techniques de traitement sol-gel sont utilisées pour produire des compositions de verre bioactives et dépourvues d'alcalis, à base de SiO2, CaO et P2O5. En modifiant le contenu de SiO2, l'on obtient une gamme de vitesses de production d'hydroxyapatite; d'autre part, la modification du temps d'exposition à des solutions in vivo réelles ou simulées permet d'utiliser une gamme de proportions permises de SiO2. Les compositions sol-gel dérivées peuvent être choisies en fonction de valeurs-cible de coefficient d'expansion thermique, de modulus élastique et de résistivité électrique de volume.
