Abstract:
(EN) Apparatus (38) and a method for forming a flat glass sheet is disclosed as utilizing a heating conveyor (42) that transfers a heated flat glass sheet to a downwardly facing surface (46) of a topside transfer device (44), a lower mold (48) having an upwardly facing full surface (50) at least a portion of which has an upwardly convex shape that receives the heated flat glass sheet from the topside transfer device, and an upper ring mold (52) that forms and seals the periphery of the heated glass sheet against the vacuum mold surface (50) at which a vacuum is supplied within the sealed periphery of the glass sheet to form the entire extent of the glass sheet to the vacuum mold surface. A vacuum is then provided within a vacuum chamber (122) of the upper ring mold (52) to receive the formed glass sheet from the lower vacuum mold for support by the upper ring mold. A cooling mold (132) which may either be an annealing ring (132a) or a quench ring (132b) is also preferably provided to receive the formed glass sheet from the upper ring mold (52) for cooling in order to provide either annealing or tempering of the formed glass sheet.
(FR) Appareil (38) et procédé de formage d'une feuille de verre plane utilisant un élément de transport chauffant (42) qui transporte une feuille de verre plane chauffée jusqu'à la surface orientée vers le bas (46) d'un dispositif de transfert par le dessus (44), un moule inférieur (48) pourvu d'une surface totale orientée vers le haut (50) dont au moins une partie possède une forme convexe qui reçoit la feuille de verre chauffée du dispositif de transfert par le dessus, et un moule en anneau supérieur (52) qui forme et applique hermétiquement le pourtour de la feuille de verre chauffée contre la surface du moule à vide (50), après quoi le vide est créé à l'intérieur du pourtour hermétiquement appliqué de la feuille de verre pour former cette dernière dans sa totalité contre la surface du moule à vide. Un vide est alors produit dans une chambre à vide (122) du moule supérieur en anneau (52) afin que celui-ci reçoive la feuille de verre formée à partir du moule à vide inférieur de manière à retenir la feuille. Un moule de refroidissement (132), qui peut être soit un anneau à recuire (132a) soit un anneau de refroidissement (132b) est aussi de préférence prévu pour recevoir la feuille de verre formée du moule en anneau supérieur (52) afin de la refroidir et de la recuire.
