1. (WO1991017905) POWER SUPPLY MEANS FOR ELECTRICALLY OPERATED APPARATUSES AND A SWITCH FOR THE POWER SUPPLY MEANS

Claims :

1. Power supply means for electrically operated moving apparatuses such as mining equipment, com-prising
- a trolley track ( 5, 5a) comprising busbars and positioned at least over a portion of its length above a space where the apparatuses (1, A, B) move;
- trolleys (4, 4a, 4b) movable on the trolley track (5, 5a), the trolleys comprising contacts (18) arranged in contact with the busbars (15) and each being connected to the respective apparatus (1, A, B) by means of an electric cable (3, 3a, 3b) with adjustable length; and
- at least one turntable-type switch (8, 8a, 8b, 8c) installed in the trolley track (5, 5a) above the space where the apparatuses (1, A, B) move and comprising a coupling portion (11, 12) forming part of the trolley track (5, 5a), whereby, when extending in the same direction as the trolley track (5, 5a) in alignment with it, the coupling portion (11, 12) forms together with the trolley track (5, 5a) a continuous trolley track (5, 5a) along which the trolley (4) is movable and which is pivotable about a vertical axis (9) away from the trolley track (5) to another position, whereby the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) is turnable by means of the switch (8, 8a, 8b, 8c) to another position together with the coupling portion (11, 12) when it reaches the switch (8, 8a, 8b, 8c), c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that
- the switch (8, 8a, 8b, 8c) comprises two parallel coupling portions (11, 12) positioned reversely symmetrically with respect to the turning axis ( 9 ) of the turntable ( 10) ;
- the phase sequence of the busbars (15) of the coupling portions (11, 12) is correspondingly reversely symmetrical with respect to the turning axis (9);
- the coupling portions (11, 12) are so spaced apart from each other that a trolley (4, 4a, 4b) can be positioned simultaneously on both coupling portions (11, 12); and
- both coupling portions (11, 12) of the switch are turnable in alignment with the rest of the trolley track (5) so as to form a continuous trolley track.
2. Power supply means according to claim 1, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that at least one switch (8, 8b) is installed in the trolley track (5) to form a shunting switch (8, 8b), whereby, when two apparatuses (1) pass by each other, the trolley (4a) of the first apparatus (A) is stopped on the first coupling portion (11) of the switch (8, 8b) forming a continuous trolley track (5) and turned together with the coupling portion (11) away from the trolley track (5) while the second coupling portion (12) is correspondingly turned so as to form a continuous trolley track (5), along which the trolley (4b) of the second apparatus (B) is able to pass by the switch (8, 8b), whereafter the trolley (4a) of the first apparatus (A) is turned together with the coupling portion (11) at the trolley track (5) and is again released to move on the trolley track ( 5 ) .

Power supply means according to claim 1 or 2, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that at least one switch (8, 8c) is installed in the trolley track (5) to join the end portion of a turning loop formed at the end of the trolley track (5) to the trolley track (5), whereby the first coupling portion (11) forms a continuous trolley track (5) and the second coupling portion (12) forms an extension of the end portion of the turning loop, and the trolley (4a), which has moved to the end of the loop together with the apparatus (A), is stopped on the second coupling portion (12) of the switch (8, 8c) and returned to the trolley track (5) by turning the switch (8, 8c) in such way that the second coupling portion (12) turns so as to form a continuous trolley track (5) and the first coupling portion (11) turns so as to form an extension of the end of the turning loop.

Power supply means according to any of claims 1 to 3, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that at least two switches (8a, 8b) are installed to form a shunting loop on the trolley track (5) in such a way that a trolley track (5a) is installed beside the main trolley track (5) between the switches (8a, 8b), the trolley track (5a) being positioned reversely symmetrically with respect to the main trolley track ( 5 ) , whereby the trolleys are able to move on the trolley track (5a) between the switches (8a, 8b).

Power supply means according to any of the preceding claims, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that the switch (8) comprises braking and locking means (102a, 102b, 103a, 103b) for stopping the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) at the switch (8) and for locking it in position during the turning movements of the switch ( 8 ) .

Power supply means according to claim 5, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that the braking and locking means (102a, 102b, 103a, 103b) comprise at least two braking cylinders (101a, 102b) displaceable to the path of the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) and away from the path; that the braking cylinders (102a, 102b) are installed in such a way that their piston rods are extractable from the braking cylinders (102a, 102b) in opposite directions with respect to each other and correspondingly withdrawable into the braking cylinder (102a, 102b); and that it comprises control means (104a, 104b, 105, 106a to Ilia, 106b to 111b, 112, 113, 114a, 114b) for controlling the braking cylinders (102a, 102b) and their piston rods in such a way that when the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) to be stopped reaches the switch ( 8) , the piston rod of the braking cylinder (102a, 102b) directed towards the direction of arrival of the trolley is in the extracted posi-tion and the braking cylinder (102a, 102b) is positioned on the path of the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) so that the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) strikes the piston rod of the braking cylinder (102a, 102b), thus pushing it into the braking cylinder (102a, 102b), so that the flow of pressure fluid from the braking cylinder (102a, 102b) slows down the trolley and stops it at the switch (8) .
7. Turntable-type switch for a power supply means intended for electrically operated moving apparatuses, the power supply means comprising
- a trolley track (5, 5a) comprising busbars and positioned at least over a portion of its length above a space where the apparatuses (1, A, B) move;
- trolleys (4, 4a, 4b) movable on the trolley track (5, 5a), the trolleys comprising contacts (18) arranged in contact with the busbars (15) and each being connected to the respective apparatus (1, A, B) by means of an electric cable (3, 3a, 3b) with adjustable length; the switch (8, 8a, 8b, 8c) com- prising a coupling portion (11, 12) forming part of the trolley track (5, 5a), whereby, when extending in the same direction as the trolley track (5, 5a) in alignment with it, the coupling portion (11, 12) forms together with the trolley track (5, 5a) a con- tinuous trolley track (5, 5a) along which the trolley (4) is movable and which is pivotable about a vertical axis ( 9 ) away from the trolley track ( 5 ) to another position, whereby the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) is turnable by means of the switch (8, 8a, 8b, 8c) to another position together with the coupling portion (11, 12) when it reaches the switch (8, 8a, 8b, 8c), c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that
- the switch (8, 8a, 8b, 8c) comprises two parallel coupling portions (11, 12) positioned re-versely symmetrically with respect to the turning axis (9) of the turntable (10);
- the phase sequence of the busbars ( 15 ) of the coupling portions (11, 12) is correspondingly reversely symmetrical with respect to the turning axis (9);
- the coupling portions (11, 12) are so spaced apart from each other that a trolley (4, 4a, 4b) can be positioned simultaneously on both coupling portions (11, 12); and
- both coupling portions (11, 12) of the switch are turnable in alignment with the rest of the trolley track ( 5 ) so as to form a continuous trolley track.
8. Switch according to claim 7, c h a r a c -t e r i z e d in that it comprises braking and locking means (102a, 102b, 103a, 103b) for stopping the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) at the switch (8) and for locking it in position during the turning movements of the switch ( 8 ) .

Switch according to claim 8, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that the braking and locking means (102a, 102b, 103a, 103b) comprise at least two braking cylinders (101a, 102b) displaceable to the path of the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) and away from the path; that the braking cylinders (102a, 102b) are in- stalled in such a way that their piston rods are extractable from the braking cylinders (102a, 102b) in opposite directions with respect to each other and correspondingly withdrawable into the braking cyl-inder (102a, 102b); and that it comprises control means (104a, 104b, 105, 106a to Ilia, 106b to 111b, 112, 113, 114a, 114b) for controlling the braking cylinders (102a, 102b) and their piston rods in such a way that when the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) to be stopped reaches the switch (8), the piston rod of the braking cylinder (102a, 102b) directed towards the direction of arrival of the trolley is in the extracted position and the braking cylinder (102a, 102b) is positioned on the path of the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) so that the trolley (4, 4a, 4b) strikes the piston rod of the braking cylinder (102a, 102b), thus pushing into it the braking cylinder (102a, 102b), so that the flow of pressure fluid from the braking cylinder (102a, 102b) slows down the trolley and stops it at the switch (8).
