Abstract:
(EN) A device for measuring the maximum flow rate of a single forced expiration, comprises an elongated hollow body (10) with inlet (12) and outlet ends (14), a vane (18) mounted to a shaft (16) and rotatable within the body from a defined rest position, and indicator means (28) to indicate maximum displacement of the vane from its rest position. The vane is shaped such that airflow from the inlet end past the vane causes the vane to rotate away from its rest position with the plane of rotation preferably being at about 90° to the airflow through the elongated body.
(FR) Un dispositif servant à mesurer le débit maximum d'une seule expiration forcée comprend un corps creux et allongé (10) pourvu d'extrémités d'entrée (12) et de sortie (14), une pale (18) montée sur un arbre (16) et pouvant être mise en rotation à l'intérieur du corps à partir d'une position de repos définie, et des éléments indicateurs (28) servant à indiquer le déplacement maximal de la pale à partir de sa position de repos. La pale est dotée d'une telle forme que l'écoulement d'air à partir de l'extrémité d'entrée et passant à côté de la pale fait tourner celle-ci hors de sa position de repos, le plan de rotation étant de préférence à environ 90° par rapport à l'écoulement d'air à travers le corps allongé.
