Abstract:
(EN) A flat plate transmit/receive antenna (1) is disclosed having first and second parallel plate waveguides (2, 3). A waveguide bend (4) communicates energy between the waveguides (2, 3) to enable transmission and reception from an exposed plate (5) of the second waveguide (3) within which an array of apertures (6) is formed. A coupler or probe (8) is provided at a focus of the first waveguide (2) to cause, on transmission, a cylindrical phase front to propagate along the first waveguide (2) which is converted by the waveguide bend (4) to a planar phase front in the second waveguide (3). Scanning and dual polarisation embodiments are also disclosed.
(FR) Antenne d'émission/transmission (1) à plaques plates dotées d'un premier et d'un second guide d'ondes à plaques parallèles (2, 3). Une courbe (4) du guide d'ondes communique de l'énergie entre les guides d'ondes (2, 3) afin de permettre la transmission et la réception à partir d'une plaque exposée (5) du second guide d'ondes (3) à l'intérieur duquel est formé un réseau d'ouvertures (6). Un coupleur ou une sonde (8) est disposé au niveau d'un foyer du premier guide d'ondes (2) afin de provoquer, lors de la transmission, la propagation d'un front en phase cylindrique le long du premier guide d'ondes (2) lequel est converti par la courbure du guide d'ondes (4) en un front en phase plane dans le second guide d'ondes (3). L'invention concerne également des modes de réalisation de balayage et de double polarisation.
