Abstract:
(EN) A fabricated structural beam (10) comprises at least one longitudinally folded member having a web portion (16) and a head portion (12, 14). In different embodiments, a plurality of folded members may be interleaved with one another to provide configurations of varying load carrying capabilities. In all cases, the folded head portion (12, 14) is made rigid by forming it into a tube that is closed on all sides. This is accomplished by fastening the folded material upon itself in the web portion (16).
(FR) Une poutre structurelle préfabriquée (10) comprend au moins un élément plié longitudinalement présentant une partie d'âme (16) et une partie de tête (12, 14). Selon différents modes de réalisation, on peut intercaler une pluralité d'éléments pliés les uns avec les autres afin de produire des configurations de diverses capacités porteuses de charge. Dans tous les cas, la partie de tête pliée (12, 14) est rendue rigide par transformation en un tube fermé de tous les côtés. On parvient à cet agencement en fixant la matière pliée sur elle-même dans la partie d'âme (16).
