Title (EN) BICYCLE ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM
(FR) SYSTEME DE COMMANDE DE TRANSMISSION ELECTRONIQUE POUR BICYCLETTE
Abstract:
(EN) An electro-mechanical system for shifting gears (316, 320) on a bicycle (20) automatically calculates gear ratios on rider candence and bicycle speed and then sorts the gear ratios in order from lowest to highest. During automatic operation, the system determines if the calculated cadence is within limits set by the rider, and changes the gear ratio as necessary in order to keep the caclculated cadence within predetermined limits.
