Abstract:
(EN) A die assembly including an upper male mold (42), an annular cutting blade (46), and pressure plate (80) carried by the upper plate (40) of an upper die set (18); and a female mold (24) secured to the lower plate (22) of a lower die set (16). The blade (46) is positioned in surrounding relation to the male mold (42); the pressure plate (80) is positioned in surrounding relation to the blade (46); and an annular seal (48) encircles male mold (42) within blade (46). The upper die set (18) clamps a sheet of component material (90) positioned over the female mold (24) and is moved downwardly into the cavity (24a) by selective slippage controlled by selective adjustment of the pressure plate (80). Stop means (30) are provided to delimit the downward movement of the male mold (42) whereafter a lost motion connection allows the die (18) to continue downwardly and the cutter blade (46) to trim the sheet edge with resin being injected through the female mold to permeate sheet material (90).
(FR) Ensemble matrice comprenant un moule mâle supérieur (42), une lame annulaire tranchante (46), une plaque de pression (80) portée par la plaque supérieure (40) d'un ensemble matrice supérieur (18), et un moule femelle (24) fixé à la plaque inférieure (22) d'un ensemble matrice inférieure (16). La lame est positionnée de façon qu'elle entoure l'élément de moule mâle (42); la plaque de pression (80) est positionnée de façon qu'elle entoure la lame (46); et un élément d'étanchéité annulaire (48) entoure le moule mâle (42) jusqu'à la lame (46). L'ensemble matrice supérieure (18) enserre une couche de matière constituante (90) située sur le moule femelle (24) et se déplace vers le bas dans le creux (24a) par glissement sélectif commandé par un dispositif d'adaptation sélective de la plaque de pression (80). Un dispositif d'arrêt (30) permet de délimiter le mouvement vers le bas du moule mâle (42) et un mouvement à vide permet à la matrice (18) de poursuivre son chemin vers le bas et à la lame tranchante (46) de couper le bord de la couche, de la résine étant injectée dans le moule femelle pour qu'elle passe à travers la matière de la couche (90).
