Abstract:
(EN) A rotating cutting blade (28) and its drive motor (12) are mounted on a wheeled support platform (10). The blade (38) extends through a skid plate (52) depending from the platform, in order to cut the concrete (22) below the skid plate (52). The slot (50, 58, 60) in the skid plate has its ends configured to fit within predetermined distances of the corresponding ends of cutting segments (42, 43, 44) on the cutting blade (38). The cutting segments are configured to have a generally inverted 'T' configuration in which a central cutting segment (42) extends radially outward from tow cutting segments (43, 44) located on opposite sides of the central segment (42). The exterior edges (45) of the cutting segments (42, 43, 44) may be square or rounded. The juncture (47) between the central and shoulder segments may be square or rounded. The concrete (22) is advantageously cut before it hardens to 1,200 psi, without the use of an added lubricant, or above that hardness with lubricant if the cutting blade (38) is supported within a sufficiently close distance by the skid plate (52).

La lame (38) traverse une plaque de glissement (52) suspendue de la plateforme de sorte que ladite lame puisse couper le béton (22) situé sous ladite plaque (52). Une fente (50, 58, 60) est ménagée dans la plaque de glissement et ses extrémités sont configurées de sorte qu'elles se trouvent à l'intérieur d'une distance prédéterminée la séparant des extrémités correspondantes des segments coupants (42, 43, 44) de la lame coupante (38). Les segments coupants ont une configuration sensiblement en forme de 'T' inversé dans la quelle un segment coupant central (42) s'étend radialement vers l'extérieur à partir de deux segments coupants (43, 44) situés sur des côtés opposés du segment central (42). De préférence, on découpe le béton (22) avant qu'il ne durcisse jusqu'à 1200 psi et sans apport de lubrifiant, sinon on le découpe lorsqu'il est plus dur et avec un lubrifiant si la lame coupante (38) est maintenue dans une position suffisamment proche du béton par la plaque de glissement (52).
