Abstract:
(EN) An improved process and apparatus for the extraction of espresso coffee from ground coffee beans in which the pressure of extraction is precisely regulated by a pressure valve (16) and is not dependent on coffee grind size, degree of compaction of the coffee grind, or operator skill. A feature of the invention is in an assembly of the brewing chamber (44) and regulator valve (48) for convenient removal and attachment to an expresso machine (10) as a unit (40) without otherwise modifying the machine. The assembly (40) is configurable with the regulator valve (48) within a common housing (41) which also defines the brewing chamber (44), or with a regulator valve (35) separate from the brewing chamber assembly (28) but attached to an outlet (33) of the brewing chamber (28).
(FR) Procédé et appareil améliorés permettant de préparer du café express à partir de grains de café moulus, et dans lequel la pression d'infusion est régulée avec précision par une soupape de mise en pression (16) et ne dépend pas de la finesse de la mouture, de la densité de la mouture, ou de l'habileté de l'opérateur. Une des caractéristiques de cette invention concerne le système composé de la chambre d'infusion (44) et de la soupape de régulateur (48) que l'on peut retirer et fixer facilement sous forme d'un bloc (40) sur une machine à café express (10) sans pour autant modifier ladite machine. Le système (40) peut se présenter avec la soupape de régulateur (48) dans un logement commun (41) qui définit également la chambre d'infusion (44), ou avec une soupape de régulateur (35) distincte de l'ensemble chambre d'infusion (28) mais fixée à un orifice de sortie (33) de la chambre d'infusion (28).
