Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides a composite material for generation of heat by absorption of microwave energy comprising a porous dielectric substrate and a coating comprising a thermoplastic dielectric matrix and flakes of a microwave susceptive material distributed within the matrix, said flakes having an aspect ratio of at least about 10, a generally planar, plate-like shape, with a thickness of about 0.1 to about 1.0 micrometers, a transverse dimension of about 1 to about 50 micrometers, and angular edges. The composite material exhibits decreased microwave transmission as a function of previously applied pressure.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un matériau composite destiné à produire de la chaleur par absorption de l'énergie de micro-ondes. Il se compose d'un substrat poreux diélectrique et d'un revêtement comprenant une matrice thermoplastique diélectrique et des particules d'un matériau sensible aux micro-ondes réparties dans la matrice, lesdites particules possédant un rapport d'allongement d'au moins environ 10, une forme globalement plane et en paillettes, dont l'épaisseur varie d'environ 0,1 à environ 1,0 micron, et dont la dimension transversale se situe approximativement entre 1 et 50 microns, et présentant en outre des bords anguleux. Lorsqu'une pression s'exerce sur le matériau composite, ce dernier transmet moins bien les micro-ondes.
