Abstract:
(EN) An amine-epichlorohydrin resin is prepared in a water-polyol solvent in order to facilitate the polymerization and crosslinking reactions. The reaction product is useful as a wet strength resin composition which has a flash point high enough to be used in commercial paper making operations.
(FR) Une résine à base d'amine-épichlorohydrine est préparée dans un solvant eau-polyol de manière à faciliter les réactions de polymérisation et de réticulation. Le produit de réaction est utile en tant que composition résineuse résistant au mouillé qui possède un point d'éclair suffisamment élevé pour être utilisé dans des opérations de fabrication de papier vendu dans le commerce.
