Abstract

The invention relates to the promotion of cellular adhesion to a substrate. A polypeptide of the formula: leu-ala-gly-ser-cys-leu-ala-arg-phe-ser-thr-met which can bind heparin and promote cellular adhesion is provided. Medical devices such as prosthetic implants, percutaneous devices and cell culture substrates coated with a composition including the polypeptide are also provided.

L'invention se rapporte à un polypeptide favorisant l'adhérence cellulaire à un substrat. On présente un polypeptide de formule: leu-ala-gly-ser-cys-leu-ala-arg-phe-ser-thr-met qui est susceptible de fixer l'héparine et favoriser l'adhérence cellulaire. On présente également des dispositifs médicaux tels que des implants prosthétiques, des dispositifs percutanés et de substrats de culture cellulaire recouverts d'une composition comprenant ledit polypeptide.
