Abstract:
(EN) An apparatus for manufacturing an optical fiber cable covered with a metal pipe, comprising an assembly (2) consisting of a plurality of roller pairs, for forming a metal strip opposite side edges of which abut against each other to form a metal pipe; a means (7) for laser-welding the abutted portion to form a sealed metal pipe (1c); and a means (6) for introducing an optical fiber (5) into the metal pipe (1a) thus formed. Said apparatus further comprises an excessive length control means consisting of a tension adjusting means (15) for the metal strip (1), provided in front of the assembly (2); a tension adjusting means (14) for the optical fiber (5), provided in front of the optical fiber introducing means (6); and pulling means (11, 13) including a tension varying means (11) for the optical fiber cable (1d) covered with the metal pipe.
(FR) Appareil de fabrication d'un câble de fibres optiques revêtu d'un tuyau métallique, comportant un ensemble (2) constitué d'une pluralité de paires de rouleaux destinés à former une bande métallique dont les bords latéraux opposés butent l'un contre l'autre pour former un tuyau métallique; un dispositif (7) destiné à souder la partie en butée par radiation laser afin de former un tuyau métallique étanche (1c); et un dispositif (6) servant à introduire une fibre optique (5) dans le tuyau métallique (1a) ainsi formé. Ledit appareil comporte également un dispositif régulateur de la longueur excédentaire constitué d'un dispositif régulateur de la tension (15) destiné à la bande métallique et disposé devant l'ensemble (2); un dispositif régulateur de la tension (14) destiné à la fibre optique (5) et disposé devant le dispositif (6) d'introduction de la fibre optique; et un dispositif de traction (11, 13) comprenant un dispositif de variation de la tension (11) destiné au câble de fibres optiques (1d) revêtu du tuyau métallique.
