Abstract:
(EN) A variety of processes for recovering gold from gold ore are disclosed. Briefly, the methods include culturing at least one microorganism species capable of producing cyanide ion under conditions wherein the microorganism produces cyanide ion, thus forming a cyanide ion-containing culture; contacting the cyanide ion-containing culture with gold ore, causing production of gold ion-cyanide ions complexes and biosorption of said complexes to said cultures; and recovering gold from the culture. The invention may be practiced with a variety of microorganisms, including $i(Chromobacterium violaceum) and $i(Chlorella vulgaris).
(FR) On décrit une variété de procédés permettant de récupérer l'or à partir de son minerai. Brièvement la méthode comprend la culture d'au moins une espèce de micro-organismes pouvant produire des ions cyanurés dans des conditions telles que le micro-organisme produise des ions cyanurés, formant ainsi une culture contenant des ions cyanurés; la mise en contact de la cuture contenant des ions cyanurés avec le minerai d'or, provoquant la production de complexes ioniques d'or contenant des ions cyanurés et la biosorption desdits complexes par lesdites cultures, et la récupération de l'or dans la culture. L'invention peut être appliquée à une variété de micro-organismes, comprenant le $i(Chromobacterium violaceum) et le $i(Chlorella vulgaris).
