Abstract:
(EN) A polyester is provided which facilitates the separation of blood into light and heavy phases via centrifugation in a blood collection vessel. The polyester is useful as a component of a partitioning composition formulated to have appropriate specific gravity to be positioned intermediate the light and heavy blood phases during centrifugation. A partitioning composition including a polyester of the invention provides a particular advantage in blood collection vessels used in therapeutic drug monitoring, due to the relatively low affinity between the polyester component of the composition and commonly monitored classes of drugs.
(FR) On a produit un polyester facilitant la séparation du sang en phases légère et lourde par centrifugation dans un récipient de collecte du sang. Le polyester est utile comme composant d'une composition de séparation formulée pour avoir une gravité spécifique appropriée, à positionner entre les phases sanguines légère et lourde pendant la centrifugation. Une composition de séparation comprenant un polyester de l'invention présente un avantage particulier dans des récipients de collecte du sang, utilisés dans le contrôle des médicaments thérapeutiques, du fait de l'affinité relativement faible entre le composant en polyester de la composition et des classes de médicaments contrôlées habituellement.
