Abstract:
(EN) New hybrid materials prepared by incorporating a metal alkoxide sol, which is adapted to yield a high refractive-index metal oxide (e.g., titanium dioxide or zirconium dioxide), with a high refractive-index organic polymeric component (e.g., a triethoxysilane-capped poly(arylene ether) ketone or poly(arylene ether) sulfone) have been developed by the sol-gel method. The final products are transparent and display a high refractive index (n = 1.60-1.76). The refractive index of these hybrid materials has a linear relationship with the metal oxide content. These hybrid materials are used in coatings and as optical systems, such as lenses.
(FR) On a développé de nouveaux matériaux hybrides préparés par incorporation d'un sol d'alkoxyde métallique, lequel est adapté pour produire un oxyde métallique d'indice de réfraction élevé (par exemple du dioxyde de titane ou du dioxyde de zirconium), dans un composant polymère organique d'indice de réfraction élevé (par exemple, une poly(arylène ether) cétone ou une poly(arylène ether) sulfone à couronnement triéthoxysilane) selon le procédé sol-gel. Les produits finaux sont transparents et présentent un indice de réfraction élevé (n = 1,60 à 1,76). L'indice de réfraction de ces matériaux hybrides présente une relation linéaire avec la teneur en oxyde métallique. On utilise ces matériaux hybrides dans des couches anti-reflets et en tant que systèmes optiques, tels que des lentilles.
