Abstract:
(EN) A process for producing 4,4'-diisopropylbiphenyl by the reaction of propylene with biphenyl containing at most 1 % of sulfur or a mixture thereof with isopropylbiphenyl in the presence of water and either a hydrated, type H mordenite zeolite catalyst with a molar ratio of SiO2 to Al2O3 of at least 15 or a hydrated mordenite zeolite catalyst prepared by the ion exchange reaction of a type H mordenite zeolite catalyst with platinum.
(FR) Selon un procédé de production de 4,4'-diisopropylbiphényle, on met en réaction du propylène avec du biphényle qui contient au maximum 1 % de soufre ou un mélange de celui-ci avec de l'isopropylbiphényle, en présence d'eau et d'un catalyseur zéolithe mordénite hydraté de type H, le rapport molaire entre SiO2 et Al2O3 étant égal à au moins 15, ou en présence d'un catalyseur zéolithe mordénite hydraté préparé par échange d'ions entre un catalyseur zéolithe mordénite de type H et du platine.
