Abstract:
(EN) A form-fill-seal method is disclosed which first forms a continuous polymer film sheet (16) into a cylindrical shape such that the opposite ends of the film are disposed adjacent to each other so as to create a radially extending fin (22) along the longitudinal axis of the package being formed. This cylindrical shaped film is formed coaxially over a tube (12) through which the desired filling material will enter the package being formed. Pressure is applied to the fin along the longitudinal axis of the package by a pair of sealing blocks (24, 26) to force the opposite end of the film into engagement, such that a generally flat sealing surface is formed. A predetermined amount of heat is applied to both sides of this fin, concomitantly with the application of pressure, for a period of time which is sufficient to soften and bond the opposite ends of the film together. The bottom end of cylindrical package is then sealed as the film is drawn downwardly to align the film for the next package with the pair of sealing blocks (28, 30). The package may also be filled as the film is drawn downwardly or filled immediately thereafter. Finally, the top end of the package is sealed, and a cut is made above this top end seal to separate the package from the next package being formed.
(FR) Méthode pour former, remplir, et sceller des emballages. On donne tout d'abord à une feuille de film polymère continu (16) une forme cylindrique. Ainsi, les extrémités opposées dudit film, adjacentes l'une à l'autre, constituent une ailette qui se prolonge en sens radial (22) le long de l'axe longitudinal de l'emballage en cours de fabrication. Ce film cylindrique est ensuite placé coaxialement au-dessus d'un tuyau (12) par lequel le matériau de remplissage choisi pénétrera dans l'emballage. A l'aide de deux blocs de serrage (24, 26) on exerce une pression sur l'ailette le long de l'axe longitudinal de l'emballage, forçant ainsi l'extrémité opposée du film à s'engager de manière à constituer une surface pratiquement plane. Simultanément, on chauffe à un degré préalablement déterminé les deux côtés de ladite ailette pendant un temps suffisant pour assouplir les extrémités opposées du film, qui vont alors se joindre. L'extrémité inférieure de l'emballage cylindrique est ensuite hermétiquement fermée tandis que le film est tiré vers le bas pour s'aligner avec les deux blocs en attente de l'emballage suivant. L'emballage peut aussi être rempli à mesure que le film est tiré vers le bas ou immédiatement après la fin de cette opération. Enfin, on scelle l'extrémité supérieure de l'emballage au-dessus de laquelle on pratique une coupure pour le sépareer du suivant.
