Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a surgical device for use in operative substitution or replacement for a damaged or malformed body conduit or blood vessel, an example being an aortic aneurysm. One example described in the specification comprises a tubular body (2) having open-end portions (4, 6) to provide a passageway (A). The wall of the body (2) when inflated comprises an annular chamber (B). Surrounding the body (2) is an outer chamber (C) comprising a flexible sleeve member (12). A probe (24) is provided which extends forwardly of the leading end (4) of the body (2), the probe providing sampling apertures (26) to allow monitoring of body fluid flow when the device is in place. Further tubes (16 and 18) permit inflation of the chambers (B and C respectively). The above device may be suitable for insertion through the femoral artery, while another example described may be found suitable for insertion into the sub-clavian artery.
(FR) L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif chirurgical conçu pour être utilisé lors d'une opération de remplacement d'un canal corporel ou d'un vaisseau sanguin endommagé ou malformé, par exemple lors d'un anévrisme aortique. Dans un exemple de réalisation décrit ici, le dispositif comprend un corps tubulaire (2) pourvu de parties aux extrémités ouvertes (4, 6) servant à former un passage (A). La paroi du corps (2), après gonflage, forme une chambre annulaire (B). Le corps (2) est entouré par une chambre externe (6) comportant un élément à manchon flexible (12). Une sonde (24) s'étend à l'avant de l'extrémité de tête (4) du corps (2) et est munie d'ouvertures de prélèvement d'échantillon (26) qui permettent de contrôler l'écoulement du fluide corporel, une fois le dispositif en place. D'autres tubes (16 et 18) servent à gonfler les chambres (B et C respectivement). Le dispositif décrit ci-dessus peut être utilisé pour être introduit dans l'artère fémorale, tandis qu'un autre exemple de réalisation décrit dans la présente invention peut être utilisé pour être introduit dans l'artère sous-clavière.
