Abstract:
(EN) An integrated, multimode FM radio system including a common reference clock (4) providing synchronized digital signal processing for both transmission (1) and reception (2). The radio system according to the present invention also includes a novel digital frequency synthesizer (3, 8, 9, 43, 44), a digital FM demodulator (17) and a digital FM modulator (16) which together provide improved FM modulation and demodulation fidelity thereby assuring interoperation with other radios in all analog and digital modulation formats, improved spectral purity and faster channel switching speed for the frequency hopping synthesizer (71), improved reliability through reduction in complexity, and reduction of radio production cost, including reduction in testing and adjustments needed for certification to radio emission standards.
(FR) Un système radiophonique intégré à modulation de fréquence et à modes multiples (Fig. 1) comprend une horloge commune de reférence (40) qui assure un traitement synchronisé des signaux numériques tant pour la transmission (1) que pour la réception (2). Le système de radio (Fig. 1) comprend également un nouveau synthétiseur numérique de fréquences (3, 8, 9, 43, 44), un démodulateur numérique (17) FM et un modulateur numérique (16) FM qui assurent ensemble une meilleure modulation de fréquence et une meilleure fidélité de la démodulation, ce qui rend à ce système compatible avec d'autres systèmes radiophoniques utilisant n'importe quel format de modulation analogique et numérique, et lui donne une pureté spectrale améliorée. Un synthétiseur (71) à sauts de fréquence a une vitesse plus élevée de syntonisation des canaux. Le système radiophonique est plus fiable, grâce à sa simplification, et ses coûts de production, y compris les contrôles et les ajustements requis pour rendre le système conforme aux normes d'émission radiophoniques, sont réduits.
