Abstract:
(EN) Magnetically rigid materials are incorporated to enhance the field magnitudes produced by permanent magnet structures that are utilized in electric machinery. Magnetic circuit losses due to unnecessary magnetic fields are eliminated without employing a conventional shunt. The magnetically rigid material (22) is cylindrically configured and magnetized to extend individual magnetic fields (18) between north and south poles on only one cylindrical surface thereof. At least one coaxial cylinder of the magnetically rigid material is included in each permanent magnet structure of the invention and each of the cylinders is constructed from a plurality of segments (24) in one preferred embodiment thereof. Segments (24) having substantially triangular and trapezoidal cross-sectional configurations are utilized in other preferred embodiments, while flux contributions from at least three segments are combined to sustain each set of north and south poles in still other preferred embodiments.

Les pertes de circuit magnétique dues aux champs magnétiques sans utilité sont éliminées sans l'emploi d'un shunt classique. Le matériau (22) magnétiquement rigide en forme de cylindre est magnétisé de façon à prolonger les champs (18) magnétiques individuels entre les pôles nord et sud d'une seule de ces surfaces cylindriques. Au moins un cylindre coaxial du matériau magnétiquement rigide est inclus dans chaque structure d'aimant permanent de l'invention et chacun des cylindres est construit à partir d'une pluralité de segments (24) selon une réalisation préférée. Des segments (24) présentant des configurations de section essentiellement trapezoïdales triangulaires sont utilisés selon d'autres réalisations préférées, tandis que des contributions de flux à partir d'au moins trois segments sont combinées de manière à soutenir chaque ensemble de pôles nord et sud selon encore d'autres réalisations préférées.
