Abstract:
(EN) A polymerization method carried out in the presence of unsaturated hydroperoxides useful as molecular weight regulators, is disclosed. Also disclosed are polymers and oligomers made by this process and articles of manufacture comprising one or more polymers or oligomers made by this process. These molecular weight regulating hydroperoxides provide the ability to introduce an epoxy functionality to the oligomer or polymer as well as an additional functionality and a primary hydroxy group. Further, omega substituted or alpha, omega disubstituted polymers may be synthesized using the unsaturated hydroperoxides of the present invention.
(FR) Un procédé de polymérisation mis en ÷uvre en présence d'hydroperoxydes insaturés utiles en tant que régulateurs de masse moléculaire est décrit. Sont également décrits des polymères et des oligomères obtenus selon ce procédé, ainsi que des articles de fabrication comprenant un ou plusieurs polymères ou oligomères obtenus selon ce procédé. Ces hydroperoxydes régulateurs de masse moléculaire permettent d'introduire une fonctionnalité époxy dans l'oligomère ou le polymère, ainsi qu'une fonctionnalité additionnelle et un groupe hydroxy primaire. En outre, on peut synthétiser des polymères à substitution omega ou à disubstitution alpha, omega, à l'aide des hydroperoxydes insaturés de l'invention.
