Abstract:
(EN) Silica sols having a high content of microgel and aluminum modified particles with high specific surface area. The sols can be prepared by a process comprising acidification of a water glass solution, alkalization at a certain dry substance content, particle growth and aluminum modification. The sols are particularly suitable for use as additives, in combination with cationic polymers, in papermaking.
(FR) L'invention se rapporte à des sols de silice qui se caractérisent par une teneur élevée en microgel et qui contiennent des particules modifiées par l'aluminium présentant une superficie spécifique élevée. On peut préparer ces sols au moyen d'un procédé comprenant l'acidification d'une solution de verre soluble, l'alcalisation à une certaine teneur en substance sèche, la croissance des particules et la modification par l'aluminium. Ces sols sont particulièrement conçus pour être utilisé comme additifs, en combinaison avec des polymères cationiques, dans la fabrication du papier.
