Title (EN) APPARATUS FOR A DISPLAY SCREEN FILTER
(FR) APPAREIL POUR FILTRE D'ECRAN D'AFFICHAGE
Abstract:
(EN) When a flat filter (3) is fitted to a curved screen surround (1), light is able to pass around the edges of the filter (3) and causes reflections on the screen. The apparatus comprises one or more strips or bands (5, 7) of material for fitting along or around the edges of the filter (3) to occlude the gaps between the filter (3) and the screen surround (1) and so reduce these reflections. The apparatus may comprise substantially rigid plastics extrusions (5) and/or a band of flexible material (7) together with attachment means (6, 8) such as Velcro (trademark), and mounting means (11) as appropriate. The band of flexible material (7) is able to twist and so accommodate variations in the width of the gap between a flat filter (3) screen and a curved side of a screen surround (1). A similar band (7) may also be used to occlude a gap of varying width between other articles.
