Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to marine seismic seabed cable (2) for use on or near the seabed (3) comprising one or several pulling cables (11), a data cable (12) and a sleeve (10) which surrounds these. The invention is characterized in that groups of geophones and position metering instruments are placed behing each other along the cable (2), that each group of geophones and position metering instruments are placed in a geophone sphere (6) where the geophone sphere (6) and the actual cables are to a substantial degree mechanically isolated from each other, so that, for example, shocks and signals against the cable (2) will to only a minor extend be transferred to the geophone sphere (6).
(FR) La présente invention a trait à un câble sismique (2) utilisable sur ou au voisinage des fonds marins (3). Il se compose d'un ou de plusieurs câbles de traction (11) et d'un câble de données (12) entour d'une gaine (10). Les caractéristiques de l'invention sont que: des groupes de géophones et d'instruments de mesure de position sont placés l'un derrière l'autre le long du câble; chacun de ces groupes est placé dans une sphère de géophone (6), ladite sphère et les câbles proprement dits étant pour l'essentiel isolés mécaniquement les uns des autres de sorte que, par exemple, les chocs et les signaux transmis au câble (2) se communiquent le moins possible à la sphère de géophone (6).
