Abstract:
(EN) A single gene can confer sodium and/or lithium tolerance upon a cell. For example, the sod2 gene isolatable from $i(S. pombe) confers sodium and/or lithium tolerance upon cells such as yeast and plants cells. The gene can be used to produce salt tolerant yeasts, plants and other organisms.
(FR) Un gène unique peut conférer à une cellule la capacité de tolérer le sodium et/ou le lithium, et notamment le gène sod2, qui peut être isolé à partir de la levure $i(S. pombé) confère la capacité de tolérer le sodium et/ou le lithium à des cellules telles que des cellules de levure et de plantes. Ce gène peut être utilisé pour produire des levures, des plantes et d'autres organismes tolérant les sels.
