Abstract:
(EN) The present invention discloses novel DNAs that encode proteins having electrophysiological and pharmacological properties characteristic of glutamate receptors. The glutamate receptors are exemplified by proteins encoded by representative cDNA clones GluR1, GluR2, GluR3, GluR4, GluR5, GluR6 and GluR7, fragments thereof, and functional combinations of these glutamate receptor proteins and/or fragments. DNA sequences from the cDNA clones for GluR1, GluR2, GluR3, GluR4 and GluR5 are especially useful as probes, thus enabling those skilled in the art to identify, without undue experimentation, other members of the L-glutamate receptor family.
(FR) L'invention concerne de nouveaux ADNs qui codent des protéines ayant des propriétés électrophysiologiques et pharmacologiques caractéristiques de récepteurs de glutamate. Les récepteurs de glutamate sont par exemple des protéines codées par des clones d'ADN complémentaires représentatifs GluR1, GluR2, GluR3, GluR4, GluR5, GluR6 et GluR7, leurs fragments et des combinaisons fonctionnelles de ces protéines et/ou fragments de récepteurs de glutamate. Des séquences d'ADN obtenues des clones d'ADN complémentaires pour GluR1, GluR2, GluR3, GluR4 et GluR5 sont particulièrement utiles comme sondes, permettant ainsi à l'homme de l'art d'identifier, sans expérimentation superflue, d'autres membres de la famille de récepteurs de L-glutamate.
